As part of the contribution of the Studio Spaces of Solidarity within the Tblisi Architecture Biennial 2020 the term Solidarity and its differents spacial manifestations became the base and the center of anaylsis of the Studio SOS. In the conditions of isolation and physical distancing, processes based on collaboration, discourse and exchange were challenged. Within the summer term 2020 the studio developed different forms of communication, experimenting with digital spaces and the intersection of analogue and on- line communication.
Solidarity manifests itself through different forms of human values, behaviors, protocols and negotiations, which do not necessarily share the same base. In order to built a common ground and critical understanding, three different tools were built to approach our semester-typology: un-common public spaces “nishes” in the Wilhemshavener Staße, 10551 Berlin.
How does Solidarity embodies itself on a spacial basis? As a result of the 4 week on the field, the short movie Livingroomless City was made to show a future speculation of Berlin 2070 and its development around public spaces.
